After graduating from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey at Rutgers Medical School with a medical degree, Dr. Russell R. De Luca completed an internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey at Rutgers Medical School. He completed a fellowship in Medical Oncology and Hematology at University of Maryland Cancer Center.
He is board-certified in internal medicine, oncology, hematology, and hospice and palliative medicine. His clinical interests are all adult hematological disorders and cancers.
He is a member of the American College of Physicians, Fellow, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Society of Hematology, the Maryland & D.C. Society of Clinical Oncology, and the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine.
Dr. DeLuca founded Chesapeake Oncology Hematology Associates over 25 years ago.
He has been Chief of Oncology at Baltimore Washington Medical Center since 1995, and served as senior medical director at Hospice of the Chesapeake for 23 years.
He has been a 30 year resident of Howard County. He enjoys reading, listening to music, attending theater productions and traveling.
He is a parishioner of St. John the Evangelist in Columbia. He is also known to have an extensive St. Bernard collection.
He currently sees patients at Tate Cancer Center and the Chesapeake Oncology Hematology location in Annapolis.
